Chicago Housing Market Bottomed Out?

I have visual proof that the bottom has fallen out of the Chicago Real Estate high-rise market (see above). Okay, maybe not. But things have been gettin' busy and that's always a good thang...gettin' busy (click hyperlink below).

The Future is Now in Real Estate

A fellow Blogger, Chris Thorman, wrote this interesting article on Geo-Fences. Chris is from a web site that provides comparisons of property management systems.

I think it's pretty cool seeing as I remember the days of, ahem...selling pots and pans door-to-door (if only briefly....for two days... a very, very long time ago).

Now that's old school.

Chicago Real Estate Rip

Just curious. If it's really as they say (whoever they are), why isn't everybody doing it? Houses, Condos, and Multi-Unit buildings financed with only $500 Down Payment PLUS $8,000 Cash Back!!!

AND... it's a "New FHA Program"??? Can't believe a Chicago real estate investor would even nibble on this bait much less tolerate the switch which is bound to follow.

Wow. What a crock of shitake mushrooms. I was embarrassed standing there just trying to get a picture of it.

Looking Up in Chicago Real Estate

This festive snapshot caught my eye while strolling the hound down the sidewalks of Forest Glen today. Blue skies and bare trees (save a few ornamental stragglers) provide a clear shot upward; a beckoning metaphor for my Chicago real estate business in 2010. This I do believe.

I've already submitted six offers to date in January (no, and it's not the same offer six different times). All are Buy Side transactions. The Price Points range from low Six-Figure Short Sales to Upper Bracket Luxury. I am also gearing up for two Luxury Lincoln Park neighborhood Listings as we speak. While primarily a Buyer's Agent, I do perform all duties of a Realtor; i.e. the occasional Residential Listing. (Hey, I took the oath.)

Don't forget to 'Follow' me on Twitter and 'Friend' me on Facebook. (How did we ever communicate before Web 2.0? Oh yeah, that's right---newspaper advertising. ahem...)

And remember: It's only a buyer's market if you're actually buying.
